Professor Frances Kay Lambkin,

Hunter Medical Research Institute
Professor Frances Kay-Lambkin is the current Institute Director and CEO of the Hunter Medical Research Institute, where she is charged with supporting the thriving and innovative health and medical research ecosystem across the University of Newcastle, the Hunter New England Local Health District, and the community of Newcastle and the Hunter.
Frances leads an international team of researchers, clinicians, and industry partners in the innovative development and translation of evidence-based treatments for comorbid mental and physical disorders, which is internationally recognised for its impact, research quality, and significant translational value.
Danielle Neale,
Director of Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise
University of Newcastle
Danielle Neale is the Director of Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise at the University of Newcastle, where she leads the strategy and operations to foster collaboration between industry, government, and academia in the Hunter region. Spanning her career, she has over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital transformation, with a focus on research commercialisation in universities.
Amanda Martin,
Manager of Commissioned Services,
Primary Health Network
Amanda Martin is the Commissioned Services Manager at the PHN. She is a Registered Nurse with over 25yr clinical and managerial experience in primary and tertiary care, including both the public and private hospital sectors.
Amanda has been with the PHN since 2015 and was an integral part of the transitional partnership that established the PHN from the Medicare Locals. As part of the Management Team at the Central Coast NSW Medicare Local, Amanda was responsible for managing the clinical services provided by the organisation, including HealthPathways and Digital Health.
With a master’s degree in Critical Care Nursing and qualifications in Leadership and Management, Amanda has strong project and change management experience which have led to her involvement in establishing new services and system change. Roles with Donatelife (the National Organ and Tissue Authority) to introduce the ‘GIVE’ clinical trigger into Local Health Districts, and with Westmead Private Hospital to establish a Critical Care Service in a newly constructed 136-bed private hospital have been career highlights.
